Nonprofit Booth Application
Ocrafolk Festival Nonprofit Application 2015
The 2015 Ocrafolk Festival is inviting all Ocracoke nonprofits to participate in this year's event (due to space limitations, we cannot accommodate non-profits that do not have a presence on Ocracoke Island). It is a great opportunity for local organizations to spread the word about their activities and even do a little bit of fundraising! While the festival runs from June 5 to 7, non-profit booths will be at the festival only on Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nonprofits are responsible for bringing their own table, chairs, tent, etc, unless they choose to rent tables and chairs from the festival. No electricity is provided.
Application deadline April 15. We have limited space for booths. The deadline for your application is April 15. We encourage you to respond to this notice as soon as possible. Requests submitted AFTER April 15 might not be granted if all spaces are filled. Non-profits will be given confirmation by April 25.
1. Time: On the Saturday of the festival, please check in at the Info Tent. Plan to have your display set up and your vehicle moved to the designated parking areas by 9 AM. Golf carts are considered vehicles and also need to be moved from festival grounds. Space identification numbers will be in place by 7:15 AM. We will not have a complete list of booth locations until Saturday morning.
2. Food Sales: The festival attempts to coordinate all food sales at the event in order to avoid duplication. If you intend to sell food or drinks, please let us know the details on the application form.
This year, all food vendors (non-profits included) must also fill out an Application for Temporary Food Establishment (TFE) Handling Permit and send it in to Hyde County. The county requires that you send in this form in order to sell food at the festival. Those selling only canned drinks and baked goods are excluded from this application process. The festival is unable to provide electricity to any vendors and generators are not allowed on festival grounds (making onsite food preparation licensing almost impossible). If you have any questions please contact Roni Collier, Hyde County Health Department. [email protected]. 252-926-4380.
3. Space Size & Fee: A single space is approximately 10’x10’. You must furnish your own tables and chairs unless you choose to rent them from the festival. Rental fee is $15 for a banquet table and 2 chairs.
4. Cleanup: Help us keep the residents of Ocracoke Village happy with our presence by cleaning your area before you leave. Thanks!
5. Inclement Weather: It is highly recommended that you observe the weather forecast and come prepared for rain if necessary.
6. Contact Information: For more information or answers to questions regarding the Ocrafolk Festival feel free to contact the staff at or [email protected].
