Ocrafolk Festival 2021
Changes in 2021
Location: Due to ongoing Hurricane Dorian reconstruction, Ocrafolk Festival 2021 will take place outdoors on the grounds of the Berkley Manor and adjoining properties.
Format: The weekend will be subdivided into 4-hour performance blocks. Reserved ticketed seating will be required at the Barn and Golden stages. So that we can control capacities, access to gated performance areas will be restricted to those who have a reservation for the current 4-hour performance block.
Seating: Seating will be divided into safely distanced pods (Single, Double, Family, 6-Person) for COVID safety. Audience capacity will be significantly reduced.
COVID Safety: We will be following CDC recommended practices for the event. Festival grounds will be cleared in between each 4-hour performance block for cleaning and reset.
Artisan Booth and Workshop Stage Areas: Visitors will be permitted to visit the artisan booths and workshop stage areas without a reserved ticket.
Sponsorships (Open Now): Read below for more details.
General Ticket Release Timeline: Ocrafolk Festival General Tickets will go on sale towards the end of March beginning of April.
Ocrafolk Festival General Information
This celebration features musicians, storytellers, artisans, and characters of Ocracoke Island and beyond who come together for one incredible weekend of performances and fun! Choose from the "Ocrafolk Festival" dropdown menu above for all the details.
Ocrafolk ~ A Community Festival with a Mission
Ocrafolk Festival is recognized throughout our region as an extraordinary event in a one-of-a kind setting. Our fans and audiences have been an integral part of our story, along with countless volunteers, performers, and supporters that we call family. Ocrafolk isn’t produced by an incorporated town or large corporation. This event is grassroots and happens only if everyone lends a hand.
Ocracoke Island is an incredibly special place. You may know this already. What visitors might not be aware of is how this small community struggles to provide the resources that are often taken for granted in other parts of the country.
Your Ocrafolk Festival admission ticket doesn’t just assist Ocracoke Alive in creating a weekend packed with incredible performances. It also supports hundreds of hours of student and community programming that would vanish without your funding.
So, thank you for your generosity! Thank you for joining us! Let the magical journey begin!

OCRAFOLK TICKETS 2021 OPEN APRIL 12 at 1 PM
This year, Ocrafolk Festival weekend is divided into seven time blocks of approximately 4 hours each. For a detail of the schedule visit our schedule page. Because we employing safe distancing pods for COVID safety, our audiences have limited capacity. While the change in format may not permit everyone to have a full weekend of Ocrafolk Festival, it will allow everyone to have a good taste of the 2021 event. We are encouraging ticket purchasers to initially limit themselves to 3 time blocks while we assess demand. As we get closer to the festival, we will update our sales information if it looks like we have more openings. Artisan Booths and the Workshop Stage at Ocracoke Preservation Society are free and accessible without a ticket all weekend.

Lodging for the Ocrafolk Festival weekend
A word to the wise . . . book early! The Ocrafolk Festival weekend is one of the most popular of the season. By springtime it can be very difficult to find lodging on the island. For information on hotels, B&Bs, & campgrounds visit www.visitocracokenc.com. If lodging is unavailable on Ocracoke, we suggest looking on Hatteras Island and further north. Please be aware that lines for the free Hatteras-Ocracoke ferry can back up during the season. Catch an early morning ferry to get to the island with less of a wait.
