Mural Auction at Ocracoke's Island Inn Commons benefits Ocracoke Preservation Society's Restoration of the Historic Island Inn

Ocracoke Alive has coordinated an Artist Mural Project at the Island Inn Commons in partnership with the Ocracoke Preservation Society.  The installment features 10 panels commissioned from Ocracoke artists and 12 panels by students from the 2023 Ocracoke School Arts Week mural class under the direction of Robert Chestnut. Participating artists were provided with a 4’x4’ panel to design around one of the following themes: Ocracoke Community, Ocracoke History, Ocracoke Environment.

Many thanks to all the contributing artists and also to Bill Monticone for designing and making the mural stands, as well to his assistants Susse Wright, Bill Twiford, and Rob Temple. Also thanks to John Spagnolo &  Raul Campos for helping with installation.
