Ocracoke Alive to Host Second Annual Ocracoke Earth Day Weekend Celebration

Ocracoke, North Carolina – Ocracoke’s pristine beaches, maritime nature trails, village gardens, glorious live oaks, and thriving wildlife inspire residents and visitors alike to appreciate and celebrate our beautiful island’s natural places. This year, to share the love of the island and the rest of the planet, the Ocracoke community is organizing the second  annual Ocracoke Earth Day Weekend Celebration.

The second annual Ocracoke Earth Day Weekend Celebration will be on April 11-13, 2025. Throughout the weekend, attendees can choose from a variety of indoor and outdoor activities designed for all ages, including nature walks, history talks, nature crafts, live music, stargazing, a beach litter pick-up, and informative discussions on sustainability and environmental solutions. The event will conclude with a community beach gathering at Ocracoke’s lifeguard beach.
